Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing or using VacayBuddy (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Definitions

  • Member: a person or entity using the Service via Slack integration.
  • Workspace Admin: a user with permissions to configure policies and manage leave.
  • Content: data submitted or generated through the Service (e.g., leave requests, approvals).

3. Accounts & Access

  • You must maintain accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Admins control settings and access within the Slack workspace; we are not responsible for internal access decisions.

4. Acceptable Use

  • No unlawful, infringing, or harmful activities.
  • No reverse engineering, probing, or circumventing security.
  • No misuse of Slack or Google APIs, nor spamming or abusive automation.

5. Intellectual Property

We (and our licensors) own the Service and all related IP. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights. You grant us a limited license to process your Content solely to provide the Service.

6. Service Changes & Availability

We may modify or discontinue features with notice where practicable. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance or outages, including issues originating from Slack or Google.

7. Privacy & Security

We process personal data per our Privacy Policy. We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect data; however, no method is 100% secure.

8. Third‑Party Services

The Service integrates with platforms like Slack and Google. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third‑party services or changes they make.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our affiliates or suppliers are liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts paid by you to us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Term & Termination

You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the Slack app or via Admin UI. We may suspend or terminate for breach, security risks, or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. Courts located in Seoul, Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law mandates otherwise.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will provide notice of material changes and indicate the effective date below.
